FORTUNES CHANGE

Saturday 22nd May was as good a day as last week was a bad one, from 20 points on offer for the two games Swanage took 19 of them!

In the morning Swanage ‘A’ travelled to Bournemouth Electric BC and took on their ‘Hydro’ team. The rink of Paul Knapman, Gill Bryceson and skip Judy Smooker won by a magnificent 20 shots. On the second rink Swanage fought with determination to force a 15 all draw. Well done another 5 points in the bag. Now sitting second in the league.

Swanage were also on the road and, via the 12-30pm ferry, their convoy wended its way to New Milton BC. This Premiership section 4 game was an important one to Swanage after their loss last week. All rinks knuckled down and forced a maximum 14 points victory of 84-56 shots. The outstanding rink was that of John French, Tim Luscombe and skip Jim Kelly, a newly tried combination, who won by 23 shots to 10. Well done Swanage! Also now at number two in this league.
