Swanage Bowling Club is a lawn bowls club based in Swanage Town Council’s Beach Gardens, just off the seafront. Beach Gardens is also home to the Swanage Tennis Club and a popular 18 hole grass putting course. There is a shared Pavilion and the Club recently raised funds for a large translucent outdoor canopy to protect spectators from both rain and sun, under which they can enjoy the matches in more comfort. With views across the bay to the Isle of Wight, there is no better place to enjoy a game of bowls in good company!
The Club has played lawn bowls in Swanage since 1928 – and it is an important part of the sports and social activities within the town as well as a tourist attraction for visitors in the summer.

Club President’s Message
Hello, my name is Brian Beeston, I am honoured to have been elected as Swanage Bowling Club President for the 2026 season.
I will endeavour to continue the recent improvements made at the club, both on and off the green, and bring unity throughout the membership.
My charitable aims are to help a local organisation called CanCare, who support families with a member suffering from cancer. They do this by providing aid in many ways to relieve the problems that arise.
