Swanage Bowling Club is a lawn bowls club based in Swanage Town Council’s Beach Gardens, just off the seafront. Beach Gardens is also home to the Swanage Tennis Club and a popular 18 hole grass putting course. There is a shared Pavilion and the Club recently raised funds for a large translucent outdoor canopy to protect spectators from both rain and sun, under which they can enjoy the matches in more comfort. With views across the bay to the Isle of Wight, there is no better place to enjoy a game of bowls in good company!

The Club has played lawn bowls in Swanage since 1928 – and it is an important part of the sports and social activities within the town as well as a tourist attraction for visitors in the summer.

President’s Message

My name is Linda Wallis and I am so very pleased to be this year’s President to Swanage Bowling Club. I am 68 years old, moved to swanage in 2015,  joined the club and learnt to play the game. My chosen charity for 2024 is The Swanage Pier Trust and I hope you will support me in fundraising for this local well loved historic monument. I wish everyone continued success for the forthcoming season.
